The work was stellar once the work was done. William Smith had received a check for the service call in early December with a promise to come back before Christmas to do the work. I was fine with that arrangement as they said they were working behind the eight ball. I did not like the fact that we had to keep calling to have the work done. Return feedback was non existent but promises abounded. Many appointment dates were given with no shows and no call. Finally, the work was completed in the latter part of this month (and the work was fine), but having to call and call to leave messages was ridiculous. Made me think that small jobs were not a priority.

Rating is difficult as the work completed was fine, but the office management of scheduling was not good.

Company services the brand fireplace we purchased on-line. They came out to address our problem (under warranty). They were unable to fix the problem and suggested we return the unit to who we purchased it from.The service men were very professorial and polite but but their management, back at their business, were not willing to work out our problem. In the end all we received was a bill for $175.

My wife and I wanted a gas fireplace in our newly purchased home. I chose WilliamSmith Fireplaces and very glad I did. Our overall experience was 5*****. We found them to be very knowledgeable, very nice showroom, and listened to our specific needs. They even came out twice to assess our house and fireplace. We chose our unit, ordered and then we ran into a problem. The problem was totally the fault of the manufacturer. The fireplace package had a defective burner, and some other problems.

I contacted Steve Smith, owner, of WilliamSmith Fireplaces after the install. Mr. Smith was very sympathetic to my problems and promised he would do anything needed to remedy our problems, including, sending a technician, free of charge, to evaluate and make any adjustments needed to remedy our problems, and/or returning the unit and getting a different unit.

I am very pleased with WilliamSmith Fireplaces. They want their customers to be satisfied.
