I enjoy going to Tranquil Waters for massages, pedicures and manicures. the staff is kind and I always have a nice experience.
However, I will not go back here for a facial again. I have been a few times and this last time was it. The woman questioned whether I had rosacea before she even examined my face. She made it sound like she knows more than dermatologists who have medical degrees. Where are her degrees? Never tell her you don't drink enough water she won't let you hear the end of it. During the facial she made snide comments about how you need water and thought they were funny. I was annoyed and put off by this. tell me once and I heard you the rest was just irritating.

We're sorry to hear you didn't fully enjoy your experience. The Esteticheans here actually have much more in depth training on Rosecea than most MD's., since there training is strictly on skincare and not surgery. They are fully licensed and educated, and many of the dermatologists in the area refer to us for those reasons.

Overall Pleasant experience. I liked the sound of the water. Not sure if technician introduced her name to me. First time manicure was done first in a combination with pedicure and had taken off socks and shoes but not raised pants high enough and was problematic to do with nails wet.

I have to say Lee is the best! She helped me out the first time I went and now I'm hooked, I feel like a million bucks after my massage. And Alana did a great pedicure. I have already scheduled my next service.

The good: The treatment room was soothing and the esthetician was excellent. I liked the low lights, the soft neutral music and the heated treatment table. I got an appointment right away, the same day I called. The not-so-good: The entrance area is cluttered, cold and uncomfortable. The seating is horrible, the tables cheap. It reminded me of a cheap airport lobby. They have loads of schlocky, made-in-southeast-asian-factory type junk all over the place, cheap scarves sloppily hanging out of every drawer in a dresser type thing. Someone needs to go in and empty out the entire room (especially the giant, made for the outdoors, water feature,) paint it in soothing, neutral colors, install comfortable seating with low tables, move the refreshment area to a place where customers can see (thus use) it. Have up to date reading material (health focused magazines perhaps) available.

Interesting, everything here is custom, and the scarves are all American made. Clearly you can't suit everyone's taste, however the majority rules!
