Super... My really-low-mileage VW Beetle doesn't need much, but the guys are great and don't tease this little old lady. Wen I do need help, they do a great job. I've been coming here since about 1843, and will till I drop (or stop driving....)

I just moved to Berkeley from out of state and looked on line for a shop to service my 14 Audi Q5. Rusty was helpful and did some basic service work and went through car to make sure all was in order. He made suggestion on a few things that I elected to do. No up selling just easy experience. I will be going back.
I did inquire about service on Porsche but understand the no longer are doing Porsche service.

Took my Alltrack in for it's oil change. While there, they inspected a number of other things as they usually do. The coolant reservoir was found to be very low. Instead of just topping it off, they also found the cause of the problem, in this case a leaking water pump.
Because the car is still under warranty they wrote up the information and had me take that to my VW dealer for repair. The dealer accepted this without any problem, and replaced the pump (and thermostat housing, also leaking) under warranty.
This is why I take my cars to Karmakanix - good work, inspecting other systems while there, and for their honesty and integrity. I'm lucky to have such a great shop available to me!

Scheduled my annual inspection and oil change, at 9am and discovered at 10 am my front brakes needed replacing. Rusty was kind enough to keep my car on the rack. I waited and my brakes were completed by noon.

Karmakanix is where I have my 2002 Eurovan & 1990 Vanagon serviced whenever I need something done. I have always been able to get appointments that meet my schedule & the work is usually completed in a timely manner.

I took my aging Passat Wagon in for a check engine light, and asked for a check to find what else the car needed to have done. I was presented a list of repairs that would cost more than the car is worth, no real surprise to me. There were some things I didn't know about that needed correction for safe driving!
The tech and I discussed what was the most important to have done for safety and reliability, the cost for those repairs was reasonable. I decided to have those repairs made to keep it on the road until such time as one of the too-expensive items fail.
Karmakanix is my go-to VW repair shop.
This kind of attention to detail and cost means a lot to me. They didn't try to sell me services that were not needed, nor ones that were beyond the vehicle's value.

Overall the tune was great - I understand there is a wait based on the vendor that does the flashing.
I had some concerns with my cars "condition" after getting home ...realizing there was some damage during the back n forth in the parking lot.
