Even on a Sunday evening, an on call doctor responded to my phone message within ten minutes and was able to provide care for my dog that night that turn her around, Hometown has been my vet since I moved to the area five years ago. They are highly skilled in diagnostics and care. They have provided the best care for my dogs. And me. They are professional and knowledgeable, warm, compassionate, patient, and show genuine and careful concern for four legged’s and two legged alike. I know my dogs and I are in good hands for maintenance care and emergencies, for good life and for a good death. The office staff has also been attentive, friendly, helpful. There is no place better.

Lilly was attacked by another dog and was seen promptly with little notice given. Dr. Amy Hamm was caring and compassionate to my small dog and was empathetic to the trauma she had just experienced. She identified the injuries apparent, suggested a plan for surgical resolution, with an estimate of costs. Surgery and subsequent recovery occurred within 2 hours and I was given very explicit instructions for home care. One thing, that I requested, is to be given a copy of the pre-surgical exam or surgical notes (I had filed a police report and wanted her notes in their records) and I was assured by clinic staff that they would e-mail this to me the following day. I never received it. Since then, the vet tech has removed the stitches and my dog has recovered satisfactorily.

When I made the appointment it was for a micro chip and Rabies shot, when I checked in I told the receptionist I just wanted the Micro chip and would wait two weeks and come back for the Rabies shot. Needless to say the next thing I hear is the vet saying that's good for one year, he gave her the rabies shot! Had to remind him she was here for a Micro chip, he came back and gave it to her. But the scanner to check it had a dead battery, and to come back in a couple days, and they could check it then. Julia and Juniper
