I’ve been taking my pets to Family Vet for over 6 years now. Hands down Dr. Chau is the best vet we’ve every been to in over 30 years of owning pets. We moved from Aldie to Reston last year and switched to a vet closer to home. When that vet couldn’t figure out a way to help our puppy with gastrointestinal issues we tried another. When the problems continued we went back to Family Vet to give Dr Chau a try. She diagnosed and solved the problem!
Our 17 year old cat has been declining and I thought we were going to have to put him down. Dr Chau turned the decline around and I feel confident that Sammie will be comfortably with us for quite a while longer! He has a new spring in his step!
It’s worth the extra drive from Reston to Aldie to get outstanding care for our pets!

Dr Chau saved Rowan’s life. Her staff was instrumental as well in his healing. All staff from front desk to vet techs that I came across in the clinic knew his treatment. They were on top of everything.
Dr Chau wrote me about Rowan even after the clinic was closed to go over the latest tests or treatments done or to explore alternatives. She even provided me additional documentation so I could understand better and make informed decisions for my boy.
They are conscientious of the costs as well. - If there is any way to save me money for my pet’s care that also gets brought up. They send me links for chewy, other pharmacies or wherever it’s cheaper.
The high level of expertise is something I experience each time at this vet clinic, but the thing that I am most thankful for is that my animals mean as much to them as they do to me. They fit me in when my animals are sick. It really is a family!

We go out of our way just to use Family Vet because the entire staff is professional, organized and thorough. Details/instructions for procedures are well laid out ahead of time so there are no surprises or mistakes.

Dr. Chau, Dr. Hendrickson, and the entire team at Family Veterinary Hospital of Stone Ridge are simply the best! Our girl, Fiona, is not the easiest of patients (understatement). From Day 1, Dr. Chau and her wonderful team established consistency with Fiona so that she knew what to expect at each visit. When the inevitable happened and Fiona sustained an injury, the consistency and calm care enabled her to be treated with minimal anxiety. We are incredibly grateful for this veterinary practice and highly recommend them for all fur babies.

Overall not a bad experience. I liked receiving emails with info regarding my questions. That was good for reference. I did not like how I was treated by a couple of techs during my last visit. They were not cordial and I’m not used to that at vet clinics. The vet kept forgetting to check the symptoms I came in for. However in the end, all my questions were addressed and that’s what I care about the most.

They consistently deliver friendly and very competent care of my cat.
