Lovato Eyecare

They got me in and out on time. Rare for any doctor. Needed to schedule surgery, and they were able to do that in only 2 weeks.

The staff was nice and welcoming. I was taken to the room for my exam and the woman administering the tests was very warm and welcoming. However, the Dr walked in and seemed to be in a hurry. I can certainly understand that he is busy, trying to get in as many patients as possible, but this wasn't what bothered me. The exam was much quicker than any other exam I'd ever had before so coupled with the feeling of being rushed, I can't help but wonder if I should've had more time spent on my exam. No big deal, but as we wrapped up, the doc mumbled something about "the front desk," threw the clipboard that had my results attached to it onto the counter next to me and walked out mumbling. I was confused and thought maybe I was to follow him? Go to the front desk because the exam was over? Maybe sit back down and wait for his return? I just returned to the lobby and told the receptionist up front that I wasnt sure what was next. My two teen boys had a similar experience. They had to ask him to repeat himself because of his mumbling. Of course, this wasn't a horrible experience but it wasn't great. There is one more thing... as I was handed my son's prescription, I was also handed a, badly copied, sheet of paper with a few OTHER optical shops. He stated that these were places where we could find glasses that are covered by our insurance. Okay...So I asked, confused once again, "Sooo, this office does NOT take our insurance then???" I thought that it would've made a LOT more sense had they told me this information before coming in, or immediately upon my arrival. I felt deceived. Had they told me this upfront, I'd probably still came to our appointment and happily taken the prescription elsewhere. But now, I'm not so sure I want to return. I hope that my opinions are helpful. Thank you and have a very Merry Christmas!

Dr. Lovato did not make me wait longer than 10 mins in exam room.

He is knowledgeable about ANYTHING "eyes" and answered all my questions.

The eye exam was done well, the purchasing of eyewear didn't go well. My eyes were dilated and I was taken out to the Optical to look at eyewear. We (Heather) found some eyeglasses and decided on them, though in hindsight, I probably shouldn't have done so, not feeling well, and my eyes were not feeling right because of the eye exam. Anyway, the next day, in the morning (<24 hours later), I called the office and said to stop my order as I wanted to come back in and relook at frames. The guy said my order had already been sent in, but Heather would call me back and get the frames back. I never heard back from her until I called again TODAY and she said that the lab had lost my frames and she would reorder them. I asked why do I want to reorder them if I might not order them again? I told her to cancel/refund my $496 and if I decided to come back in and get frames from Lovato I would. I'll be honest, I probably won't. While Lovato has nice frames, and the service was friendly, I felt like as a customer I was put on the back burner and not given the proper service I should have been.
