I came in and showed a picture of me as a bright blonde and said that
Was my goal. I paid for a heavy FULL highlight and spent almost 2 hours being foiled. She said because I wanted to get so blonde we'd do a heavy foil. After she rinsed it out I saw bright blonde and was so excited. She began putting on a product and I asked if it was the olaplex and she said it was a gloss. It was color and I said that it will take away my blonde and that the color I showed her had no toner and that my hair will suck it up and be dark. She told me it will be pretty and not darker and that it is just a gold. I was upset because I've been getting my hair done for 20 years and know better. I didn't ask for all over color and wasn't told I'd be getting it. She rinsed and then I did the olaplex. Then the blow dry. I wanted to cry. The blonde was gone and my hair was a drab brown. She kept telling me now how damaged my hair is and that I need to get a couple inches cut off ASAP. She told me to come I. A couple more times to get more blonde and said "if you cut your hair into a pixie I could get you blonde". What? She told me hair desperately needed protein so said I need karastase. My heart was beating so fast I though my hair was falling out with how much she kept saying it was damaged. I even asked her if something was wrong. I told her I used k-pak from joico and she told me I need protein so to buy karastase. I bought a kit. At the end of a three hour visit I spent $300 and have the worst hair I have ever had. I cried all night. I also found out that Kpak by joico is protein so I even got jipped on what products to buy. My hair was a bright blonde until she put all over color on. I have the tinest highlights that are the thinnest lines. Which must be why it took two hours for the highlight alone. It was not a heavy highlight. I've done this so many times and even at your salon. Usually the first time I do the heavy highlight I get maybe 65-70% blonde and then have to wait and do another heavy highlight and then feel super blonde. I woke up this morning looked and its a mousy drab unflattering nuetral. No blonde, no oomph. Definitely not something that I'd consider done by a professional upscale salon. I am so disappointed.

Very disappointed, not what I wanted. I wanted a brown balayage and the color was orange/blonde. It looked so bad that I called the next day and complained. They fixed it for free, which was nice, but now my hair all looks the same color. Basically I spent $300 for my hair to look exactly the same as it did before.

I always have a wonderful experience when I go into the downtown salon Naperville. The salon is always clean and bright and the staff there is always so friendly. The front staff to all the professionals offering services in the salon are always friendly and happy. Katie is a wonderful manager. I see her always coming through the salon to make sure you are happy and having a good experience in the salon. Lauren colors my hair and does a beautiful job. I have funky hair that is half gray and dark blonde in the back so she colors my roots and then pulls through some highlights. Lauren knows how to cover the gray and lighten the dark dingy blonde and make it bright and a pretty blonde all over. I get so many compliments. I have women come up to me and ask me where I get my hair done quite often. If you want great color service or really any of the services offered I would highly recommend Zano's.
