On my initial visit everything went well. I choose the material, and they sent someone out to see the job and measure, I later received an estimate. I then drove out again from Torrance Ca. 1.5 hours, and the gentleman that helped me was out. A new person stepped in, and wanted to remeasure and increase the price of the estimate. His attitude was very poor. If he could not rework the numbers he did not care for my business. He insisted on a remeasure and that installer see the floor again.
Long story short, I came in cash in hand ready to pay and get on the schedule, i left feeling like Hailo Flooring was a group of swindlers.
As a result I contacted the another flooring company that I got an estimate from, they agreed to do the job including base boards and door jams for the price stated in their estimate, unlike Hailo Flooring. They were ready. to do business and stood by their estimate.
As a result of walking out and not giving in to their bait and switch tacticl I saved money. The job is complete, and i am happy. I would not recommend Hailo Flooring to anyone that I know. While I do not know them, I left feeling as if they we not honest. This is just my feeling and my experience. During this remodeling job, I ran into two companies that did not want to stand by their estimate. Each of them gave me an estimate after seeing the job site. So it would be hard to say they did not know what the job entailed. Once I choose them they wanted to change things. I could see being off by a couple of hundred dollars, but over a thousand dollars- is substantial in my opinion. To give them credit, they were willing to measure again, but no thanks!
Hailo in my experience was a joke and a waste of time. I drove three hours to meet a bunch of rip off artist that do not honor their own estimates. This is my opinion and mine alone. I am sure that they have satisfied clients, but I am not one of them. Buyer beware!
If Hailo wants names, dates, and figures I would be more than willing to post them if they request it.

Doug,
I'm sorry to hear of your interpretation of how your experience was at Hailo Flooring. After speaking with all personnel involved in your project, it seems that there are some blurred lines of communication. On the day you came in to the show room to leave your deposit, you were informed of our company policy to make sure that each of our jobs are installed to industry standard, and this requires the floor to be level. With that being said there could be a possibility of floor prep needed, this is possible on any job and this is something that is clearly stated on your estimate. There was no mention of re-measuring your floors to increase the price of the estimate, only a jobsite visit to make sure your floors were within tolerance for installation. This was also discussed with the gentleman who was present at the initial job site visit with our Estimator you were not present at that time.
During your visit at the store, before you left, we made arrangements to send someone out to the house to check for floor prep with in the hour. When we had someone at the house you were called and we let you know we had someone waiting there. You informed us that you were at Lowes and would be at the property in 10 minutes. We attempted to call you and had our employee waiting for you at the house for 45 minutes. No one ever showed up, and we never received a call back from you. We continued to reach out to you until the next day and still were unsuccessful. Since there was no inspection of the floors to check for any possible floor prep, there was no new estimate given.
With all of this being said, it is unclear how you felt like you were being bated or swindled into anything, as we were making every effort to thoroughly inspect your floors to ensure a smooth installation. It is unfortunate that we weren't able to work together on this project, but are happy to hear that you have since completed your project. We wish you the best in your remodel.

Ryan was amzaing. He answered all of our questions and explained the pros and cons in terms we could understand. The pricing was more than fair - in fact his was the lowest bid of the 4 companies we had provide us estimates.

At some point and time, my wife and I spoke with at least two sales persons & the owners during our shopping. Everyone was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and professional. Staff was able to provide helpful information concerning our selections and the installation of our carpet. Pricing was extremely competitive and fair. It was an easy painless process from the selection of our carpet, in home measurement, and signed contract. I would highly recommend that you at least visit Hailo's showroom and see for yourself what they have to offer.

Great service! I have a rental property and was fortunate enough to find a renter that wanted to move in within 3 days. I needed new carpeting fast. Hailo Flooring to the rescue. I only needed carpeting in one room and I was hoping someone could help me. They had carpet put in the same day! I couldn't believe it. The price was great, the service was professional, the installers were super clean and polite and made me feel very comfortable when they were in my home. Top notch service, top notch company!

As always.....a fantastic experience. Kevin's crews are extremely professional, reliable and hard working. I have had them do several jobs in my home and they were all very positive and the work is perfect.
