Although the care is adequate, when I dropped my dog off to be fit in the busy schedule. I would have liked to be called when they decided to run labs and jack my bill up to almost $300. When we picked our dog up we were prepared to pay around $80 as I have in the past for the same symptoms. I feel a verbal consent for unnecessary labs was warranted, especially when afebrile. I wasn't given a copy of the results either. Pretty dissatisfied about this since I had to leave my dog with separation anxiety for what I thought was just a physical exam.

Thank you for your review of our practice. We are sorry to hear you were upset with the cost of the services that you received on you recent visit to Casper Animal Medical Center. Your pet?s health and welfare are our primary concern. We strive to provide quality care for all of our clients in an expedient manner. It is our policy to never turn an animal in need away. We were fully booked with appointments the day you brought your dog into the clinic, therefore your services were expedited through our drop off program. As no Doctor is immediately available to see your dog when you choose this service, you are required to fill out paper work asking you the pets symptoms, as well asking if you would like the Doctor to proceed with what they determine to be the best diagnostic approach (which may include bloodwork and/or x-rays) or, if you like to be called prior to further diagnostics. You chose the option that said ? I authorize the attending veterinarian to perform diagnostic bloodwork, and/or x-rays. I will receive a phone call from the doctor after these are performed so we can discuss findings and treatment, and/or further diagnostics.? This enables us to more quickly diagnose your pets problem. Please feel free to contact Dr. Gail Mahnke at 307-237-8387 with any question or concerns you may have.

Zero is always well taken care when we come in. he is doing well from his knee injections but not up to full mobility yet.

Casper Animal Medical Center is absolutely wonderful! Not enough 'Thank you's in the world will ever let them know how grateful I am! They waited 2 hours for me to drive to them to get my baby hedgehog(Lola) in for an emergency pet visit she was extremely sick and getting worse by the minute. Dr. Mahnke was quick to finding the problem causing the sickness and even quicker on fixing it. By morning Lola did a complete 180 and was already looking/feeling better. If it wasn't for Dr. Mahnke I'm almost certain Lola would not have made it through the night. I HIGHLY recommend Casper Animal Medical Center for any exotic pet care. For any future problems with Lola, I will be choosing them to care for her.

We were able to get an appointment right away. Check in was easy. We were done in a timely fashion. It was nice to see familiar, friendly faces.
