There was a huge lack of transparency with services performed and pricing. The dr. was pitching me different brands of contact lenses from the moment he walked into the exam room. He mentioned he didn’t carry my brand of contact lenses so he was trying to sell me on other brands he carried in his office. He even performed a contact lenses exam fitting with a different contact lenses brand that he made me try on. I was under the impression I was just trying on the contacts to see if they felt more comfortable than my own contact lenses but didn’t think he would be performing a fitting with those lenses. You would think the dr. would have done the contact lenses exam fitting with my own contacts. Shame on me for not asking or questioning him but I was obviously very trusting of this medical professional and thought he had my best interest in mind which was not the case. The dr. was very self interested. Their number one concern being making money and taking advantage of clients. The dr. and his staff were misleading, cunning, and unprofessional. I would not recommend this dr. to anyone and am in process of filing a grievance and complaint against them.

I would LOVE to respond to this great review! First I want to say thank you for the kind remarks; aside from all the negative you think you wrote; I actually appreciate all the good stuff!

Now let ME get to transparency. As a doctor the first thing I came into the room and explained to you I don't carry that contact lens brand here; for whatever reasons they are; that is how I practice and many others. Besides the point; I was NEVER trying to SELL you anything.

Maybe you have a short memory because you also attempted to run out of the office and into your car without paying for the examination; the contact lens fitting evaluation either. You literally tried to leave without paying for anything and I then had to leave a patient in a middle of an examination to come and talk to you and make sure you did not leave. I then informed you if you did not want to do my contact lens fitting then you did not have to pay for it; but I also will not release your preion. Let me also mention that during the examination process that took 45 minutes of thorough evaluation and explanations, I even asked the front staff to ORDER YOU; YOUR EXACT CONTACT BRAND but with the NEW prescription we tried. THIS WAS ALL BEFORE YOU ATTEMPTED TO LEAVE WITHOUT PAYING AND WAS CLOSE TO YOUR CAR.

The amount of disrespect you have shown me, my staff and my office is disgraceful but yet you blame me because you are not happy with my contact lens fitting fees. You already did file a grievance a few times to which I also filled a grievance back to your insurance on you for attempting to leave my office without paying AND you tried to get money from me to reimburse you for your contact lens fitting evaluation (which ended up not happening) which is not part of your insurance its an additional fee and yes my fees are high based on your standards but these are my fees you do not have to come to me; but those patients that do come to me respect my care and appreciate it. You and your family are not welcome at this office the amount of headache you have caused me over not a lot of money; but also for something you did not even pay for; because end of the day the evaluation not was fully finished.

So please go ahead and do not recommend anyone to me; because if they bring the amount of headache to my office that you have brought; I apologize but I do not want it.

I do also apologize if I was being too upfront or direct in my response but again; when I am being blamed or said to have done things which are not true or not understood by you the patient because you do not want to; and you are not happy with my fees; to badmouth me over this is crazy to me.

I will not further respond to you. Have great care at your future eye doctors; please do not run out the office!

This is my second annual visit and everything was great. The doctor is very knowledgeable and friendly, as well as the staff and my eyes are in pretty good shape so I enjoy the good news. Thanks for being there for me.

Dr Koyfman is super friendly, knowledgeable and does not rush the appointment. He took the time to explain my eye scans, which I appreciated. The appointment was thorough and he patiently helped me understand all of my options for the type of lenses that would work best for me. The office staff are all very friendly and accommodating. I got a lot of help picking out my glasses, and understanding my insurance coverage, which was also appreciated. I highly recommend Dr. Koyfman and his team! Note there is a very calm, gentle and friendly Samoyed dog on staff. Beautiful to look at, and might come say hello if you're lucky!
