The level of service was good however I had to do a fair amount of my own research to ensure that I had found the best priced options. Although I didn't give a price target up front that doesn't mean that I don't want to get the best deal possible. The final cost came out slightly higher than other travel agents due to the up front fee that was not applied to the cost of the trip.
The knowledge level of Australia and what the best way to get around was better than average. Not strong enough to overcome the price difference as I also had to do some searching on my own again in addition to what I was being recommended.

Our experience with Down Under Endeavors was exceptional! Our daughter was interning in New Zealand and we wanted to meet her in Australia for 10 days of travel. Candice, at Down Under Endeavors, handled everything. I just gave her a list of our likes and dislikes, what were were looking for in a vacation and our thoughts on destinations within Australia. She planned out the trip of a lifetime for all of us. We started at the Great Barrier Reef then on to Kangaroo Island and then ending in Sydney. Every connection was perfect. When we ran into a snag with missing a connecting flight due to airline problem, we made a phone call to the number provided and there was someone in the airport to help us reconnect and be on our way. I can't say enough about the gorgeous accommodations they scheduled and the tours and adventures we took. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a stress free vacation because they take care of EVERYTHING and EVERYONE!

Our trip:
24 days in New Zealand.
Rented a car in Queenstown and for the next 13 days drove city by city up the West Coast ending in Nelson. From Nelson we flew to Wellington and rented another car and for the next 11 days dove city by city up the east coast, up through Rotorua and into Aukland where we flew back to Chicago. Ten total hotels. Boat cruises, glacier walks, national parks, hiked mountains, kayak trips, seal/ dolphin/ penguin/ plethora of birds wildlife sightings, individualized events and activities in each city and along the path to the next destination. Personal experiences were shared based on Candice's own experiences in New Zealand.
From day 1 Candice worked with us to get a feel of what we'd like to see and do. A preliminary itinerary was developed and after eliminating an event here or adding an event there until full day by day, city by city itinerary was complete.
Event after event was flawless, every transaction was smooth. Down Under Endeavors had a personal representative/ Ambassador to welcome us as we landed into Queenstown and give us tips for the area, tips for New Zealand answer any questions and remind us that driving is on the right side of the road!
Overall, is was a wonderful trip of a lifetime. I would recommend them to anyone traveling in the Australia/ New Zealand/ South Africa lands. If I had to give a negative, and I'm really splitting hairs here is- all the paper work, vouchers for hotels and excursion/ day activities were suggested to be of little importance - almost that we might not need to bring them. In the end, they were mandatory for a few activities. We were lucky that we brought them for we did not have to bare actual extent of time and heartache that may have been wasted otherwise.
Thank You Down Under Endeavors! We can't wait for our next trip!!

We just completed a 25 day trip to Australia and New Zealand-8 cities, 9 flights and numerous private transfers-all without an issue. Shannon worked with us over several months to get the itinerary right and was there when the New Zealand earthquake caused a change in routing. We asked for some assistance with airline changes while in-country and her staff responded immediately to assist us. Overall, a great trip and we would recommend Down Under's services without hesitation.
