My main issue is my curly hair. Not everyone knows how to deal with curls. Still I liked the cut just not the drying. I will be back.

I just moved to Durham and saw Jordan last week for the first time. Jordan was AMAZING, as was his whole team (Taylor, Amina, Noah, and a few others!). I felt super comfortable immediately and didn't have to give him a lot of instruction -- he knew exactly what to do and really just tried to get an overall picture of what i wanted so he could tweak based on his expertise. He was really busy, but I still got the impression that he cared about me and my hair, and his whole team was super nice and great at their jobs. You can really tell that everyone at Douglas Carroll likes each other and enjoys their work.
I got both balyage highlights and a haircut -- the whole process took twice as long as I'm used to and was more expensive than my salon in DC, but it was absolutely 100% worth it. For the haircut, I literally just told Jordan I needed to have a more professional cut and gave him a very vague length suggestion, and he totally ran with it and gave me a beautiful haircut that I've been able to style myself with ease. I've also gotten at least 10 compliments on the cut and color in the last week, and have recommended Jordan to three friends who loved the cut.
The only negative I have here is just in terms of setting expectations -- the process did take longer than i expected, and apparently that's typical of Jordan's process (which again, it was totally worth it!), but it would help if Douglas Carroll included an expected time length in the confirmation email or something.

What an absolute delight to have my hair done by Douglas Carroll....after over 20 years with this salon, I cannot imagine going anywhere else. From the time I walk in and until I check out, it's amazing service, to Doug's color and cut mastery, to the wonderful shampoos, and the friendly atmosphere and those who "man" the front desk. I give them all five stars. I am a happy customer!
