Simply put, I recommend Allison to anyone I can. I moved to SF in March after some travels (no haircuts!) and went in to see Allison a couple of days later. I was immediately "sold" on working with her, and 5 haircuts later, I'm only more of a fan and loyalist. Every time I leave Allison's chair, and the salon, I feel uplifted by my new 'do and the sense that I've spent time connecting with a great person. It's the whole oackage: wonderful service, kind thoughtful conversation (no pressure though!), creativity and professionalism with the cuts. Allison makes the entire experience smoothe. As for the details: I'm a 33 year old woman with short curly-wavy hair, and we've gone from a bob to an asymmetrical pixie to now a super short pixie. Allison is game to try something new, yet also experienced enough to make sure we're keeping me in my comfort zone, and so skilled at making my/our wild ideas look great in the end. I'm confident she would just as beautifully handle the same cut on repeat, and more traditional looks, with the same service and sense of style. Which is why I recommend her to everyone I know- and now, you!

This was my first time at diPietro salon. I was excited to get a good styling haircut. I felt like I did not get much though, especially for the price that I paid. Being new to the salon, I had no idea where the robes were and was told to walk to the back and get a robe. I spent 5 minutes looking in closets and drawers to find a robe. I wish I was handed a robe during check in or given one by my stylist. I let my stylist know what I envisioned for a cut, but feel like my cut did not reflect this and the stylist had to do some adjustments afterwards. I told my stylist that I had an event to go to that night and that I wanted to look polished, but my hair was not even completely blown dry or styled nicely. It was frizzy, crunchy and still damp. I had to race home to shower and style my hair. I was really looking forward to a great cut and walking out feeling polished and fabulous. For over $150 for a cut, this service is subpar.

Re THE SALON: Please do not allow large smelly dogs especially whenthe weather is damp.
