If you are looking for honest mechanics, you've come to the right place. Davis does great work for a great price. They get your vehicle in and out as quick as they can--in the fastest time I've experienced with auto mechanics. After you drop off your vehicle, they'll give you a ride to work or home, then pick you up when your vehicle is ready. They're super friendly, and they have snacks in their waiting area. We found them on Angie's List, where they got rave reviews.

The services paid for were performed but with near triple the actual cost of parts.
A steam wash was performed to detect oil leaks which left residue of previously detected oil and grime all over the engine.
In all I was quoted a estimate over the phone of $70 to replace a belt and was given a grand total of $170.
The steam cleaning to detect leaks cost me $90 and I left with a dirty engine. Little of the previous oil leak residue was removed from the area in question and I found myself cleaning my engine after smelling burning oil through the cabin filter/ air ducts of my car.
Davis Repair replied:
Kyle, sorry to hear you are unhappy with our service. Unfortunately when you called to get a phone estimate, that is what it was an estimate. That is a guess at what may need to be replaced without knowing information such as the VIN, etc. We were about $37 over the phone guess. Which you still approved. Second, as explained the steam clean is for diagnostic purposes. All we clean is the under carriage and add leak dye. As you visually saw there was a lot of oil under neither the vehicle. The steam clean doesn't always get all of the oil out of nooks and crannies. As you knew that there was a good sized oil leak causing a smell prior to coming in. If you would like to bring the vehicle back we can get it on the lift and inspect together. If it needs to be cleaned again we will do that at no charge.
