I was extremely disappointed with my experience at Santee Children's Dentistry. On the day of my appointment, I accidentally went to the wrong office and ended up being 5 minutes late. Mind you, not 20 or 30 minutes, but 5 minutes. I was kept waiting for an hour and a half with an antsy 11 month old because I was "late." The lady at the front desk told me that they schedule appointments so that clients have to show up on time and she "would need to work me in." I responded by telling her that if they were too busy to see my son, then she should return my insurance card so I could find another dentist. She refused. I was finally seen and the checkup took 2 minutes (my son literally has 2 teeth). I cannot tell you how livid I was to be kept waiting for so long for a 2 minute checkup!!! I also did not like the fact that they do not allow parents in the room while children are being seen and that they have you sign a release stating they can use restraints on the child. The doctor did seem nice and my friend is the dental assistant, so no complaints there. This was a referral from my regular dentist who does not practice pediatric dentistry and I WILL be recommending he rethink his referrals. I do think people underestimate the impact the person at the front desk has on clientele.
Great experience!!! They helped my son feel comfortable even though he was scared to be there.
The ladies at this office are fantastic. Dr. Hope is the best - the whole atmosphere allowed my 6 year old to have a very pleasant, (which could have been traumatic due to the extensive dental work done) experience.
My boys did great and I thank all the ladies for that.
I love this place. It is very clean and well kept. The staff is all very nice. I was impressed when the dentist personally called to check up on my kids after they had work done.
My kids actually like going to the dentist!
