This was the first time I visited a school to get my haircut and I was a little nervous, but from the start my stylist, Monica, put me at ease. From the consultation to the final evaluation the student was a complete perfectionist which was good to know. Thank you for a job well done.
Took my daughters in for services and they had a great time. The little pampering extras with the haircut were great. Worth the extra time and an enjoyable experience.
Very disappointed with the pedicure, had to "instruct" the girl how to cut and file the nails. The foot/leg massage was very short and not very strong, could hardly feel it. Left with the bottoms of my feet still rough. The polish chipped within a few hours. The process was 2 hours long and felt it was a waste of my time and money!
Everything was ok but would have been great if we were informed that a Men's hair cut takes freaking 3.5 hrs. We were definitely not informed.
I had a very good experience at Aveda school. I arrived there last Saturday hoping for a solution for the mess I had on hair. I was taken care by a student named Ranier who not only solved the problem but also made me look great. Thank you.
Stephanie did a great job at understanding and listening to the instructors directions. The color came out perfect! She was very detailed in all areas - applying color, washing the hair, face and arm massage as well as make-up touch-up. The instructors also did a very nice job directing Stephanie as well!
anna did a great job. I really think perms should have 2 students to one client. 7 hours of sitting there makes anyone not want to come back again. she had no help with rolling. a little help with blotting. other students did not seem that busy to not be able to help. perhaps assigning 2 students to one client from the beginning would encourage them more.
I love the colors, products, results and friendly staff and students. Always a great experience!
My haircut was exactly what I was looking for. Everything that I mentioned was taken care of and I feel great!
I enjoy the evening appointments. Less crowded and the girls are usually close to graduation, meaning they're quicker and more skilled with the work. Very satisfied with my custom partial foil, done in 3 hrs (instead of 5) and looking great.
The student who cut and styled my hair was very professional and did a great job. Having gone here for 4 or 5 years I feel the level of professionalism at the front desk has gone down; not as gracious at greeting and getting people signed in. I got handed a clip board and that was that. The front desk staff (4 of them) spent the next 10+ minutes with their time and attention on one lady wanting their opinion regarding a dress, blue heels and a scarf...she was not the only person in the room and it should not take 5 people 10-15 mins to agree the outfit looked good. I ended up having to set the clipboard down by their cash register computers b/c I could not get their attention, instead all their attention was on that one lady. Also, I do not think the music selection (pop/rock music) fits with the Aveda image nor does it help ensure the customer has a relaxing and restorative visit. I think Brown Aveda should consider changing the music to the zen music- we are not walking into Abercombie or Express we are walking into an Aveda Salon to pamper ourselves. Finally, and this goes back to the professionalism issue- I am also not a fan of letting your students and staff wear jeans- I get letting them wear OSU t-shirts, but suggest you still make them wear the black pants- more uniform, more flattering and more professional.
I always have a great experience when I get a service at Brown Aveda Institute - Rocky River.
