The person who did it did a nice job. Toes look good and the skin feels soft. The relaxation room where you go after a treatment is really pleasant. The staff were all very welcoming However, I will not be returning. When I called to make an appointment for pedicure, I told the receptionist that I have a coupon. She booked the appointment. I left the coupon at the desk when I arrived. When I came to the desk to pay, I was informed that the coupon does not apply for pedicures. I saw they were correct. It was in the fine print of the coupon. My objection is, that I was not reminded of that when I called to schedule the pedicure appointment. The receptionist should have told me that the coupon does not apply to pedicures. Also, there is a service charge for using a credit card. Since I have another coupon for a friend, she will not be using it. She also wanted a pedicure, however the coupon does not apply. The owner introduced himself to me, and made me feel very welcome with his friendly smile. He told me about the history of the salon and his experience,,, I totally appreciated it! My massage was with Denise, who I have to say was awesome. I enjoyed her professionalism and expertise. I loved that she only corresponded when I addressed her, leaving me to go into my vegetative state of relaxtion :)I have had massages elsewhere and got young,, chatty Kathy's who only want to talk about themselves through the whole experience. It was very much not the case at this spa. I was able to regroup with champagne and choclates, behind a silk screen for my privacy. It was a birthday gift from my sister, and she got an ear full of thankfulness when I left the salon.. I would highly recommend this facility to a friend!!! Spa Mariana is my "watering hole" and I always send the people I care for to Spa Mariana. I would give reception "2 STARS". The only downside is the front desk. I understand that the spa can get busy. The receptionist kept answering the phone while trying to cash me out, which took too long of a process and I was again stressed out when I left.
