Driving down NE 8th St, I spotted the Eyecare Center, and--on a whim--stopped. They were incredibly helpful and professional. The person who assisted us--Chris--was more knowledgeable about glasses, coatings and plans than anyone I had ever met. He could tell the material used on my current lenses and the state of their coatings, just by looking at them. He explained things in very clear terms. Strangely enough, he told me about an available VSP option that cut about $100 off the price of my progressive lenses, and also helped us with "style" issues. I asked if my daughter's glasses could be "rushed" as she was leaving to go away 5 days later. He told me they could; suggested that it might be as late as the morning she was leaving. They were ready 24 hrs later!
