I also thought I might have a problem with the starter. Dynasport said I only needed an oil change--wouldn't need the brake service for another 6K miles. Starter and all systems checked out okay. And was prepared to spend in the neighborhood of $2000.00. He got my car in right away and did a compression leak down test and replaced the plugs. When he called to tell me it was ready to pick up, he explained that the symptoms were misleading and it was good to go for just $200.! It's great to have an honest an knowledgeable mechanic taking care of my MINI and my Z3, I wouldn't trust enyone else.
