Serenity room not set up fully and massage therapist was way too rough for a massage I characterized as a treat for my birthday. Woke up next day feeling very sore. Perhaps staff can come up with descriptions for each of the therapists so when clients request an appointment without knowing the therapist, they can hear a description of their strengths/biases? However after the massage when I got off the massage table - pain was worse than before the massage. I had difficulty walking out of the studio and had excruciating pain driving home. This pain originates from a pinched sciatic nerve by an inflamed piriformis muscle in my right buttocks and was diagnosed so by health professionals. The massage did nothing to reduce my sciatica pain. If this massage was to reduce tightness, I would have given the massage a high rating. Perhaps massage does not treat this condition.
