I love the dentist normally, so I cannot imagine what it would be like for those with fears. The dentist didn't floss my teeth but ripped apart my gums with his dental pick. The the hygienist used as little polish as she possible could to clean my teeth. Afterward I was sent to rinse (without mouth wash) where I can see the shards of piece of gum mixed in with blood. This is not a dentist office as much as it is a torture chamber. The office staff was friendly and so was the doctor but the experience was horrid. The dentist hacked at my teeth and gums with his pick. Then the hygienist came and polished my teeth as quickly as possible making sure to save as much polish as possible. I was asked to rinse with water and sent on my way. When I rinsed I noticed gum tissue and copious amounts of blood in the sink. I frequent the dentist and this was the first time this has happened. Furthermore, every other office I have been to flosses your teeth, has you rinse with mouth wash and then carefully polishes your teeth making sure to hit every tooth instead of glossing over them. The dentist although he was nice didn't bother to discuss any problems I noted on my sheet. Why have me fill out paperwork if you're not going to read it? Needless to say I will never return. We do not intentionally try to hack our patients' teeth or gum if there was nothing to clean. We try to provide quality care for all our patients. It would be a disservice for us to just polish without any scrapping and send you on your way. Most patient would feel that their teeth is not clean.
