I had a hair cut at your place for the first time and I'm sure it was the last. To start off, I was really annoyed by the one who washed my hair, I forgot his name but he's white and blonde. He washed my hair with an attitude. He made it so rough, and rinse my hair with HOT water not warm. Then twisted my hair roughly as well. My scalp was tortured by him and it surely hurt a lot. Then Shingo. Though he was really nice, but he didn't cut the style I wished. I'm patience enough to wait for 2 months to write this review to see if it gets better in time, unfortunately no. The hair style he gave me didnt suit me well. I look a lot a lot older than before with this hair. I have silky thin Asian hair so I hope he would understand it more how to cut and style it. But I guess he hasn't returned home for so long, so he couldn't update his technique with others Japanese hair dressers. Yes, sadly he's by far giving me the worst hair style. At the end of the cut, he nicely styled my hair. I appreciated it so much but it didnt look good on me. It might with other people, but not me. I looked super old. But the products he used on my hair were amazing. My hair stayed smooth, and shining for 2 days before I washed it. Well, I guess Shingo is better off cutting whites or latinos hair rather than Asian's. Since he said not many of his customers were Asian, so I can understand why my hair is like this. Well I guess I have to fly to Boston every time I want a hair cut. I love Matthew. As usual, he did a superior job in highlighting my hair. However, in spite of the fact that I scheduled Mika for a shampoo and blow dry two weeks earlier, after Matthew finished, I was passed off on to a stylist I have never met. No one ever contacted me to let me know that Mika's schedule had changed. Had I been given notice, I would have changed my appointment to another day. Even when I arrived, no one said a word. Matthew wound up blow drying my hair and did an excellent job. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed that I was not valued enough as a customer to be given any advance notice of this unilateral change. Obviously, I still intend to use Matthew for my highlights. Megumi colors my hair and Emi cuts it. It is always perfection.
