There was one person to do the inspection at the garage. I was told it would be twenty minutes when I handed the keys. After ten minutes it was still twenty minutes and finally it was completed. I miss Alan's inspection on Lamar blvd (www.alansinspections.com) due to work location changed. I got my car back usually in ten minutes over there end to end. This place needs to learn time management for inspections saving valuable customer time. There isn't anything to recommend here for the State inspections other than they provide with a sofa and TV. Though I did not personally handle your work order, I heard the conversation between you and my service advisor and remember him stating that we would not start the inspection for 20 minutes due to the current customer requests. Unlike a station that handles only inspections, we perform a complete courtesy check that includes numerous things that are not checked on a state inspection. We provide this service to all of our customers. As a mechanical repair shop, we elect to perform state inspections to be a one-stop for our dedicated customers. As a result, we'll rarely perform this service in 20 minutes beacuse of the extra time it takes to do a thorough job. We apologize for not being able to meet your time expectations. I went to dave's from seeing a lot of reviews - but I don't really like that a company gives you a discount for giving them a review, it leads to a lot of fake reviews just for $$$. anyhow, I have not gotten a discount for this and I waited about three weeks to see if my car was genuinely performing well. I've been to shops where two days after the repair there are new sounds and gotta take it back... I'm extremely happy to say that my car was fixed well, fast and is doing great! In fact -- it's running way better than it was before. I had an entire fuel system / air intake cleaning. my car was dying after a hot start constantly and idling extremely low when in park. The combustion system was completely filled with creosote. The guys there were extremely informative and showed me videos / diagrams of what was going on and why their diagnosis led them to that particular repair. they were extremely honest and told me straight up that this is most likely the problem, but they can't be 100% sure, there could be other issues after this. I like the fact that there was nothing wrong after that, they got it right it seems the first time. I have definitely found my new mechanic and I do not plan on going anywhere else. Before I came to Dave's, other dealerships and garages kept missing the major problems and sent me home with nothing fixed many times, even causing breakdowns and having to be towed.
