The service I received was terrible. They completely dried out with hair spray. It took two girls to straighten my hair (my hair is naturally pretty straight) and I was almost late for the wedding. Also I had a braid put in my hair that I had to undo and just redo myself right before I was about to walk down the isle. All my hair kept falling in front of my face. My hair was dried out and just brittle feeling until I washed it again myself. I don't know what products were used but they were awful. Never going to this place again. I also got a free facial and it made the skin above my eyebrow all red and itchy... I was offered beverages and snacks. I waited maybe 5 minutes, before my stylist introduced herself to me. She was very professional and attentive to what I wanted in a hairstyle. My hair was very long and naturally curly, so it can be hard to handle, but Erin was great! My haircut looked amazing and I felt like a new person! Plus you cannot beat the low prices for haircuts! Appt was with senior level student, graduating in three days. I told her that I don't style or blow dry my hair and that my cut needed to have a nice shape without styling, just wash n wear. First thing she does is blow-dry my hair out after the wash until it's completely smooth and round. Big mistake: I didn't speak up. Previous haircuts I've had with real stylists, when I tell them I wash n wear, they don't blow dry so they can see how it's really going to lay without styling. This girl, Tore, didn't know how to do anything except proceed with the standard procedure. She didn't know how to respond to my request of wash n wear. When the cut was finished it looked ok (not great, the layering was uneven and left 'dents' in the back of my head) but when I got home and washed it and let it air-dry like I usually do, weird pieces stick out everywhere and it looks awful. She was inexperienced in other ways too. For example, she didn't plan for the fact that when you cut wet hair (she did a rough cut before drying), it always springs up a little and appears shorter when it dries. So when I asked for long face framing pieces that weren't shorter than my jaw line, they ended up in my eyes. When I called attention to the fact that they were supposed to be placed near the root my student hairdresser went to check with her instructor. The instructor never came to check the situation and the color process went on. I was there for almost 5 hours and was thrown out at 5:00 pm (because I signed a "waiver")with red hair on the bottom six inches of my hair, black roots and yellow streaks. They assured me it could be fixed, I went back on Wed. and left with black hair on the bottom and yellow streaks..the student was not even allowed to tone my color as it was 5PM and again I signed "a waiver". These people didnt even care that this was the wed. before thanksgiving and my daughter was getting married that Saturday. So, after 10 hours at their salon, sixty dollars shorter than when I went in (on top of the parking costs which they dont tell you they only validate about an hour)I had the most horrible hair dye job of my life. My hair that is gray is still gray with some blond highlights vs a brown color. The student recommended a reddish coverage for the roots the instructor said lighter, I do wish we went with the red. After three hours, I really don't see much change. The cut is great, my hair feels healthier from the cut and great wash. The student was great, I just wish I understood the coloring process more, pictures would have helped. I will go back but will be more adamant on an explanation of color coverage.
