Someone answered the phone, made the appointment. When I went to the appointment they were expecting me. Told me it would be a half and hour, and it was! Paid for it with my coupon and drove out. Great Service. One thing I would share is advice your customers about a exit strategy. I ran over the curb on the way out, and could tell many others before me have done the same. I have been going to MA Shell for several years and have never had a problem with their service. The car did not pass the first time (which did not surprise me based on it's age) but MA Shell then did a thorough examination of the system, for a moderate cost, found the problem, fixed it and retested for no additional testing charge. I dropped my car off for oil change and smog check, which I should have received for free given the two coupons we 'won' at one of our street fairs. The person with whom I talked on drop-off said they couldn't honor the free oil change coupon because I use synthetic oil, but said "he'd take care of us" so I never got a price. Well, when all as said and done, my 'free oil change and smog check' cost me $176, since one of my fuses 'mysteriously was out' when you did the smog check. Maybe it was all valid, but I found it all too coincidental that there was absolutely nothing wrong with my car when I brought it in, and you needed to find something to charge me for. What would have been a better approach would to have said that you can only honor one coupon at a time -- I would have used the coupon for the smog check, come back later for the oil change, and left with a good impression of your dealership and likely returned for future work. Instead, I feel taken advantage of an don't plan to return.
