      <description>Hygenist was absolutely the best in service, thoroughness and excellent customer care...as usual:-)

The check-out receptionist is a completely different story as she is a difficult, nasty and condescending.  Frankly, I have no idea why you still have her hired at this otherwise excellent dentist office!  My wife and I always have problems dealing with her in the past.  But no matter, everyone else is so good we can ignore the one flaw in the organization!</description>

When a negative review is left online regarding one of our staff members labeled as a flaw to the organization, it hurts the entire team.  It is never our intention to upset our patients.  We are all working very hard to provide an outstanding experience for our patients.       <title>Too much harrasment to schedule...</title>

      <description>Too much harrasment to schedule work I can't afford.  We're a family of 3.  We're still paying on $10,000 worth of work from last year, and you're hassling us to schedule another $10,000 worth of work this year.  On top of it, you remind us that you're watching another 4-5 teeth that will surely lead to thousands more.  

At this rate, replacing our teeth with permanent teeth seems like a more viable option.  Your matter of fact attitude, like there's nothing else that matters in life compared to pouring more money into our teeth, has left me pretty disgusted.</description>

It is also our responsibility to come up with a clinical treatment plan that will bring the patient's oral condition back to a healthy state.  We educate and advise our patients: why the treatment needs to be done, prioritize the treatment (most urgent to least urgent) including any suspicious areas, coordinate insurance benefits (if any), book the appointments needed and complete treatment.  That is our responsibility and ethical obligation as a provider of healthcare.  Ultimately, we understand that it is our patients choice as to complete the diagnosed treatment.       <title>Billing Issues</title>

      <description>I like the people and am happy with the dental work. Cannot figure out the billing. Feel like I am being taken advantage of. I always end up paying lots more than I was quoted. Seems like the billing person is not famliar with dealing with insurance companies.</description>

      <d3:comments>Thank you so much for your feedback.  We always strive to be as accurate as possible when giving estimates on your insurance coverage.  Here is a brief overview of the PPO process: 
-WE have a contract with "XYZ" Insurance and agree to charge according to "XYZ" list of discounted, pre-negotiated fees for covered patients.
-YOU have a contract with "XYZ" insurance and they agree to pay a portion of those discounted fees according to the specific coverage you have elected.
-YOU have dental treatment completed and incur an expense, which is discounted according to "XYZ" fee schedule.
-WE accept 'XYZ" Insurance, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover and check as a method to pay this expense.
-WE do our very best to get accurate information as to what coverage your insurance has agreed to according to THEIR contract with YOU.
-THEY never guarantee any of the information THEY give to us and as a result, WE are left to "estimate" based on the information they give to us.
-WE collect the "estimated" patient share at the time of service, and bill "XYZ" Insurance.
-If THEY pay more than expected, you would receive a refund of the difference-if they pay less than expected, you would have a balance due of the difference.

We most certainly are sorry that you feel we have taken advantage in any way.  Sometimes insurance companies are difficult to obtain payment and we do our very best to give them as much information as they will need to process the claims.  We are very sorry if this is misconstrued in any other way.  Insurance companies always send something called an explanation of benefits, or "EOB" and they specify what the exact patient share of cost is once the claim  has been processed.  If you do not receive these, you may want to be sure that they have your accurate mailing address.  

We KNOW dental insurance can be frustrating because that's what we do all day long-we do our very best to get as accurate information as possible.  Just remember, WE are on YOUR side!  We want to retain all of our patients for life and would never intentionally do something to jeopardize our relationship with you.  Thank  you again for your valuable feedback.</d3:comments>
