I have been to any clinics. I have never been treated rude but I have noticed that the older I get the less importance to my case (about anything) is given. Or they treat me like an old lady that really does not understands even herself. But one must accept certain attitudes if one must receive necessary treatments.
From day one, your staff has been professional, warm and efficient. They have kept me up to date on any information I require. And the DOCTOR!! OMG, she is so knowledgeable and on top of al my concerns. Although I have met her only once, it is clear that she cares about her patience and I am so very fortunate and honored to be one of her patients.

This last appointment was on my basic one year check up after my weight loss surgery. This particular appointment was for a bone density scan and will receive my report and one year check up report in another appointment next week. Dr. Ramiro (Sonny) Cavazos is the doctor that performed my surgery, "rather is was a revision of a previous surgery from 2002 which only worked for a short period of time and I gained most of my loss weight back from that one". As far as I am concerned The Texas Center for Medical and Weight Loss Surgery has by far exceeded in their knowledge and knowing how to perform this service for needed weight loss. I will also say, you do have a life changing experience and you do have to commit yourself to these changes or it will not work. They can perform the operation, they can give you all the correct advice necessary to make it work, BUT, you also have to commit yourself to this. It has been one year and roughly 15 days since surgery and I have lost a total of 146 pounds to this date. I know my weight loss is not near as rapid as it was at first and I know that is normal. I am averaging about 1 to 2 pounds per week. I know I could be loosing a little more if I could exercise and walk more at this time but I have come down with arthritis in my right hip along with bone / joint spur inside the hip joint which makes it extremely difficult to walk or stand. I have finally been able to get into see an orthopedic surgeon where we are planning on a new hip joint in mid July. Then I will be able to get back on track with more exercise and being more active. My older age is telling on me at this point in life, but I continue to have a very positive attitude that I want to continue and make all of this work. I would highly recommend Texas Weight Loss to anyone who wants to commit. I also believe that any of those doctors and their staff is more than capable. One other plus is the Northeast Baptist Hospital....Nothing but a great experience with the hospital and their staff.

I had my gastric by-pass (actually is was a revision from a previous surgery in 2002 which only worked for a short period of time from another weight loss center) on March 10, 2014 and it has now been one year and two weeks later and I have lost a total of 143 pounds to this date. My weight loss has slowed down to about an average of 1 to 2 pounds per week. I feel so much better and have more energy and my sleep conditions have tremendously improved. Dr. Cavazos is the one whom performed my surgery and I feel The Texas Center for Weight Loss Surgery is the top center for these procedures. All of his staff and Northeast Baptist Hospital has been the greatest. All I can tell everyone is, if your are truly dedicated in your weight loss, you have to commit to a whole new life style, do exactly what the doctors and staff tell you to do, it will work. If you get back into your old routine, it will not. I feel so strongly about my weight loss, so happy with the success I have recommended 7 other people or friends to this and so far 3 of them have been able to get in have this done and they are pleased as well. When I finally get to my stable and ideal weight, I want to have my excess belly skin removed to improve my appearance plus other advantages I have been advised of. Looking down the road for some great years left in my life. I highly recommend this center.

Wait time to get a bone density scan was way longer than it should have been, I waited an hour and a half to get my test done. I only rated it this high because my dr John Gonzalez is so incredibly awesome but if your getting tests done be prepared to wait a long time. Also I asked the office staff to send me an email and I did not receive it even after checking my spam folder.

From the first day I visited this group and Dr. Cavazos I knew I had made the right choice. Everyone from the front office to the clinical staff have been professional, informative, and supportive. The insurance process was terrifying to me, and they made it as easy as possible, I couldn't have asked for a better overall experience, these guys changed my life.
