Shapero Chiropractic

I came to see Dr Dan last spring after my neck pain had come to the point where I was no longer able to turn or tilt my head. The pain kept me awake at night, and I even had to stop driving, since I wasn't able to check the surrounding traffic.
My first impression with Dr Dan was that of a rather stern teacher. A 10-month treatment plan?! Homework?!! Turns out he knew what he was talking about. It didn't take long until the pain was gone, and now that I'm approaching the end of the 10 months I have regained almost all my mobility. I don't even notice my neck bothering me anymore, it's like it has become part of my system again. I've worked behind a desk for the past 20 years and have had frequent, recurring neck pains. This time, there has been NO recurrence.
In addition to the professional side, and the fact that the treatment plan works, each visit is just so much fun! I love Dr Dan's warped sense of humor (just don't say anything bad about Detroit Redwings! Remember he can twist your neck...), and Fabi is so wonderful that she deserves another rave review just for herself! These two have really helped improve my life this past year.

Dr. Dan and my neck met several weeks ago and there was instant chemistry. My neck and upper back feel loved, supported and I am in less pain and have more mobility. I have a feeling that my neck and Dr. Dan will have a long-lasting relationship.

Chiropratic care is one of the best ways to ensure excellent medical health. I have been receiving chiropractic care since I was sixteen years old after being in an auto accident. I have seen many chiropractic doctors during my life. Now that I'm reaching the half-century mark, I can honestly say Dr. Dan is THE BEST. I came for the care eight years ago and have stayed for the humor! Not to mention his top-notch assistant, Fabi.

Dr. Shapero's expertise and passion for the field of chiropractic care is so clearly evident. I put myself into his care and have felt leaps and bounds better.
Both he and his office team, Fabi, always have a smile and have been so very accomodating with my travel and work schedule. I couldn't ask for more!

I have been an athlete practically all my life. I was training for a marathon and was referred to Dr. Dan about 6 months ago by my co-worker who see's Dr. Dan for regular adjustment's. At the first appointment, everything was explained in detail and was very through all. I didn't know what to expect, as it had been my first time at a chiro's office, but I felt confident that every one of my concerns was heard. After going over all my exams info, Dr. Dan started working on my core, which is huge, as I felt it was weakend a little bit in my work outs. What a difference it has made!! I feel a lot more balanced in my work outs and don't feel as if I favor one side over the other any more. Also, after my marathon, it was the first time that I didn't feel burnt out, and hurt, and i have been doing marathons for well over 15 years! I can't thank Fabi and Dr. Dan enough!

Saw Dr. Shapero back in 2009 after a drunk hit-and-run car accident. Good news is the other driver was arrested but bad news, my neck and back suffered. After intense therapy I was back to normal. Unfortunately, a year later I had a HUGE knot in my neck and desperately needed to maintain spine care so returned for routine monthly maintenance March 2011. The knot is gone (it's not a tumor after all) and the stress in my neck and shoulders is improving. I highly suggest Dr. Shapero's services!

I came into Dr. Shapero's office as I had pain in my neck and constant shooting pain and tingling down my right arm. X-rays and an MRI showed that my neck was straight instead of having a slight curve backward, which was putting stress on my discs and I had a pinched nerve from a disc. In order to avoid surgery I began corrective care with adjustments and the traction table.

I have had about 5 months of corrective care and just had an x-ray. My neck has made great progress as it now has the correct curve. Also, the pain in my arm and neck has largely subsided. I still feel it a bit but it is manageable, unlike before I began my care. I am very happy with the care Dr. Shapero has provided and I am hopeful that the progress will continue.

Dr. Dan has been helping me with my back issues since 2001. First with aches and pains due to having a new child; then with pregnancy sciatica with the second child; then with whiplash/desk job neck issues more recently. What a life saver Dr. Dan is! I appreciate his whole body approach to spine care. He's my "spine whisperer".

I started seeing Dr. Dan last year and I must say, he's changed my life ... for the better of course. He gives you tips on how to make adjustments to your everyday life to better your life experience. Through talking with him, I feel like I am in much better touch with my body and what's going on. I didn't know much about chiropractics before seeing Dan, but now I'm the field's and Dr. Dan's biggest fan.

I had to have back surgery on two bulging discs and was concerned about my first Chiropractic appointment. What I experienced was such a thorough and in depth intake where my entire file was reviewed by Dr. Shapero. I really appreciated that he understood my medical history and could tell me what Chiropractic could do for me. Boy was he right. I never knew how much one part of my back affected another. I can't recommend Dr. Shapero enough!
