Didn't really want to sit down on that beautiful new couch after seeing the manager have her shoes/feet up on it. I'd love to have her job and be on my phone all the time while my staff busts their ass. Love the new reno. Hope it's done soon. Dust giving me allergies the 2 times I have been in recently.

I cannot believe I am leaving a 1 star review. But here we are.

Walked in. No one acknowledged me. After a minute the receptionist finally said hello. Was on her phone. Then gave me a glass to fill my own water. They used to do that for me. I definitely felt like I was inconveniencing her by being there.

My haircut and hair coloring went fine. Though my hairdresser just left. I don't care for the new lighting and noise level. But I am someone that struggles with migraines and stress headaches. This may be the deal breaker to me staying. Even though I do not want to drive to the other salon that my hairdresser moved to.

My products I bought were also covered in dust. I get you're STILL under construction, but I'm sure you do know how much you're charging for these products. It shouldn’t be dirty. Especially when it's over $100.

All in all I am not a fan of the new construction. I will probably shop around for a new place in this general area.

My usual stylist left the salon and Benny fit me in to his schedule. So thankful for that - He did a great job - love my cut and he is a fun person to be around. My new stylist:)

Only giving the 5 stars because I love, love, LOVE my hairstylist. But the place is so incredibly loud now. It's quite unsettling. I couldn't relax at all. There were only 2 other people working in the room and the noise was just terrible. I wanted to cry from the noise and how bright it was in there. Crying because I have been going there for over almost 2 decades and now I think I'll have to find something else. There were so many open chairs in the room and it was that loud. It will be unbearable once that place is full. So sad. The other cosmetic changes are nice. But I'm sure you can't fix the noise problem you just created.

Also, I think your new floor is uneven by the front door. Quite a slant can be felt.

I'm very sorry to have had to leave this review. But it's really bad. It seems like no one considered the affect the terrible lighting and noisey layout would have on customers that come to relax and be pampered.

I really loved Salon St. Louis, but definitely do not like the changes. Feels more like a Great Clips now. The noise level with just 3 stylists was off the charts. Benny was great, but I really missed Milena.

I have recommended Salon St Louis to friends. Their stylists have also left. there are not keen on the new design. Sad, but I won't be returning

I had a wonderful time getting taken care of by Stevie, he was able to get my extremely damaged hair come back to life with a fresh cut. 10/10 experience and will look forward to becoming a regular at the salon.

Tim always does a great job. I didn't want to say anything while I was there. But the new layout and the new lighting is really terrible. Lighting was extremely harsh and unflattering, and much too overwhelming on noise. Not a relaxing environment at all. Very hard to enjoy my appointment. However, the shampoo chairs were more comfortable. I would also make sure to remind people to use hand sanitizer before serving a beverage. As they're touching their faces, money, multiple dirty glasses and then serving customers beverages.
