I moved to NYC a year and a half ago... I had to find a new job, new apt, and (OMG) a new stylist too... ugh this was painful as I had been going to the same person for over 8 years... So here I am in East Village and not knowing where to go... Enters Autumn. She was understanding of my concerns to have a new person and we clicked immediately! She is fun and knows her stuff.. She always educates and informs me of what/why she is doing something and is not pushy but rather listens to what I want and tells me a great way to acheive that look... She gives great consultations EVERY TIME! I love her! Can you tell? Go see her immediately! She will ROCK you out!

Autumn knows blondes! Originally from Florida, I'm very picky about my color and no one has been able to make me happy with my highlights. Until Autumn. She has come up with the perfect color for my highlights and is meticulous with the application. I gladly make the trip to Brooklyn and highly recommend Autumn to any blonde! Added bonus -- the salon is adorable, very relaxing atmosphere and everyone there is very friendly.

I've been to both Parlor and Parlor in Brooklyn and loved both experiences. I live in Brooklyn and the new location is very convenient!! Autumn did an amazing job on my highlights and I can't wait to go back! The service was perfect and I love the modern feel of the Brooklyn salon. Thank you Autumn for a wonderful experience :)

i have been having my hair cut by sarah at parlor for years now. the experience is always a good one. of course, the most important thing is the haircut -- that is the thing that one will have to live with, and i do not think sarah has ever given me a cut i did not like. this time, i asked her to do something a little different from my usual, and she easily obliged. but the other thing about parlor is that the whole experience -- from ambience to staff, friendliness, from the lovely space to the lovely smells of the aveda products -- is a pleasure.

Parlor is the only NYC salon I've ever gone back to. The staff is not only professional and talented-they also remember you and treat you like a friend-no arrogance or superiority (unlike many salons!).

I usually go on education days, and in spite of the fact that the stylists are training, I've always been really, really happy with the services I've received. No one has ever tried to talk me into a cut or style I didn't want, either.

I'll be back for certain!

The Parlor is a great friendly salon with expertise and great style. They can do everything from wild East Village hairstyles to work-appropriate natural color/cuts. And best part is, they are nice, kind and non-judgmental.

I've been to Parlor twice now and I cannot say enough about how amazing they are. I have recently moved to the city and I was nervous to try a new hairdresser as I have been going to the same women for years. But a colleague recommended Parlor so I decided to try it, and I'm glad I did! The people are always friendly and they will help you decide what you want, and spend the time helping you get it. I have found my new hairdresser, and I won't go anywhere else!
