Had an 8:00am appointment, first of the day. They got me in and out as reasonably quickly as possible. Their new technology is amazing and well worth paying what insurance won't cover. Imagine having a full retinal photo made...WITHOUT dilation! It was fast, comfortable and amazing. Their new glaucoma test device was fast, simple and assessed eye pressure quickly and comfortably. Also, "watching the hot air balloon", to assess the optical power of my eyes, was fast and simple.
North Wake Eye Care has raised the bar for eye exams beyond what I ever imagined. They are expert, professional, rapid and use modern technology accurately and effectively.

I had an appointment with Dr. Stephen Merckle in December 2014. I had a bad experience with optometrists in Raleigh since I moved here in 2007. So I did not see any eye doctor for 2 years. Dr. Stephen Merckle restore my confidence in doctors.My husband is also a patient of Dr. Stephen Merckle

The staff at North Wake Eye Care were very helpful & courteous. I didn't feel rushed at all. Dr. Merckle took his time to answer any questions I had & explained the eye tests that were done when I arrived. I would definitely recommend Dr. Merckle & his staff to family & friends.
