Our puppy is 7 months old. He is very timid and scared of strangers and other dogs. We work with an extremely reputable trainer at Olympia Kennels in Chester, NH. Our reason for bringing him in was to receive a wrap around approach with him to help his fear and continue with his training. The vet comes into the room and said she sees that he is very anxious and unsure of strangers. She then stated that she researched our trainer and that they are not a certified vet. Neither ourselves nor Olympia Kennels has tried to pass themselves off as such. They have numerous certifications, excellent approaches, and we could not recommend that facility enough. We explained that they were excellent with him and that our dog loves going there. Always excited to see the trainers and genuinely looks forward to his visits there. She responded with "Well that's a good thing but I have euthanized several dogs like him" Tried to pass us off with a prescription for Prozac and a referral to a "behaviorist" that could not get him in until August. This made us very uncomfortable when he first words were that she euthanizes dogs like him. After contacting our trainers they got him in for an immediate consultation with them same day. It has been decided after speaking with another vets office that he will not be taking Prozac as to where it can help some dogs it can also lead to aggression depending on the side effects the meds create for the dog. We spoke with a vet who is well versed with German Shepherds and will be going to that practice moving forwards. I am not putting the care of our dog in the hands of someone who seems very quick to jump towards euthanizing. Also our dog has never bit another dog nor a person.

Can’t say enough great things about this animal hospital. I travel almost an hour because they’re that amazing. From the front office staff to the veterinarians with all the assistants and techs in between, I wouldn’t bring my girls anywhere else. I always feel satisfied with my visit and my questions are always followed with thorough and thoughtful answers. Shout out to Declan and Dr. Radzinski for constantly talking me off the ledge that I’m not doing enough. I’d be lost without you!

MVAH has been so wonderful and welcoming to my family. As a first-time dog-owner, finding a vet clinic that was thorough and instructive was key for me. The staff and doctors never fail to soothe this worried pet parent's mind with information and experience. We've received great care and advice on everything from vaccinations to my pup's fussy eating. They truly are the less stress vets, both for the pet and for the pet parent! Last December our pup was spayed at MVAH and the tender loving care she (and I) received was heartwarming. Everything went just as they told me to expect, right down to the recovery period. The cherry on top was that the overall cost was less than we expected. I also appreciate that they keep some appointments open through the week for urgent care visits. That's been helpful in not having to bring my pup to a pricey animal ER when a regular (but urgently needed) visit to MVAH will do. We are so happy with our decision to have our dog cared for at MVAH and suggest that you will, too.

It was my first visit wit my dog. I was very happy with the care and attention they gave Roxy. She gave happy tail wags, even though she got shots and blood work.

Everyone there was so kind, helpful and non judgmental. During my cats exam everything was explained step by step. Before we moved on to other tests they got me an itemized bill of the procedures they wanted to run, none of which seemed unnecessary, and everything was laid out very plainly. Overall I was extremely impressed by the staff. This has probably been one of, if not the best vet visits I've had in almost 10 years.
