On Oct 20 I went in for an oil change. I waited over an hour before they ever touched my car and that was only after the ladies rushed the mechanic along after I mentioned that I had an appointment that I was going to be late for. Once I left I drove home. I didn’t drive my car for the next week because I was on vacation. When I came home I saw oil had leaked out and puddles on the concrete. My father happened to check my car and discovered the drain plug had NOT been tightened. Then I remembered the last time I had my oil changed there my oil had drained out of my car as well by the next appointed oil change. It’s suggested that anyone who gets their oil changed here should check the oil plug and make sure it’s tightened. I’d rather not have a ruined engine because of something so simple.

The staff here at Family Tire and Auto are professional and easy going. You don’t have to pry at them to see what you actually rate because of a purchase (such as a tire rotation, or road hazard tire replacement). The place is always immaculately clean, they have a comfortable waiting room, complimentary snacks and drinks. I mean seriously, it’s not going to get any better here in Jacksonville.

Corey was super friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. He went above and beyond to keep my car on the road. Although I've driven past hundreds of times, tonight I was hard pressed to find a place that was open late after my workday for an oil change. So, turned to google for assistance. Family Tire was there open later than the others and close by! My oil life was 4% and this oil change needed to happen tonight! While putting in the order for an oil change, Corey mentioned that I could get a tire rotation for $10. Knowing my car is sourly neglected I cheered and happily agreed! After inspection, Corey informed me that 2 of my tires were really unsafe and partially bald with uneven wear. He gave me a quote for 2 new tires. Unfortunately, being a single mom on a budget, I told him that wasn't going to be possible tonight. Corey suggested their credit card, signed me up, and got me approved so that my needed tire replacement could happen even though it was really close to quitting time for him and his staff. He explained, "that's alright! We're a family!" He hooked me up with a sweet deal on a replacement plan should something puncture my tires and no interest for 6 months on my repayment for tonight's service. 40 minutes, 2 new tires, and an oil change & rotation later we were back on the road. My car drives better and I'm confident my kids and I are safe. Thank you Corey and staff at Family Tire and Auto!
