We're here from FL. for an extended stay for family matters & just needed a check up with a couple vaccines for our sweet girl. We are very happy with the care, time spent with us & the threat concerning Lyme disease in this area was most informative. We feel great with our decision to bring our precious lab to Smithhaven Veterinary Hospital:)

Called with concern re: my cat's tooth. They told me to come in that day. Everyone was friendly, helpful and professional. Saw Dr. Z who explained the dentistry procedure and did my cat's blood work immediately. The next day I got a call with the results. Came back for the cat's dentistry.
Again, all was explained to me, & I received a call when it was completed.
I am extremely pleased with everyone at Smithaven Vet. They showed care & concern for my cat & me.

Dr Coiro is such an amazing doctor. Goes into great depth to always explain the health of your pet . The office staff is amazing too! I love this vet and have been using them since 2018. My dog has had 2 emergencies and they were so amazing, progessional, kind and compassionate. I really love this hospital .

very good the front desk staff is very professional .There is one woman she has shoulder length blond hair she is mature looking most the staff young.I don’t know her name she is very informative and professional. I like her a lot always does her best getting you to see the Dr with your pet. I will have to get her name. I love when she picks up the phone when I call .The staff is wonderful but you can tell she’s been there awhile and knows her stuff.

Over many years we've had 3 dogs and a cat as clients with Smithaven Veterinary Hospital.
This week we had a sudden, unexpected illness and death of our beloved German Shepherd, Tecumseh.
He was playing and romping the day before. He showed no signs of distress or pain.
The care given by the doctors and staff exceeded all expectations. Everyone stayed hours after closing to treat our boy. They also waited for us to bring our other dog to see Tecumseh after his demise to let her know what happened (it's a dog thing) so she wouldn't be searching for him.
"Thank you" doesn't express the gratitude we feel for their tender care of Tecumseh and of us.
They are amazing
