I had a good experience with the doctor. However your policies should be stated at the time of service. Business do not take e-mailed prescriptions. clients should sign a release of records at the time of the appointment not when I'm standing in front of the place trying to buy glasses and cannot because I have to sign a release form and they will not take a emailed perscription. My perscription should be ready at the end of my service not hours later for your convenience.
Thank you for your comments and we appreciate your feedback. We don't have patients sign a release of records until they let us know they want their prescription. Truly we hope that our patients decide to purchase their products with us, but know there are many options for contacts and glasses. We do fax prescriptions as needed. Our doctors do make the utmost effort to finalize charts for prescriptions immediately, however on some busy days, this is delayed to keep patient flow timely. We do apologize for any inconvenience. Thank you!

I had been going to Dr.Cutler's office when it was still Dr. Kress. When Dr. Cutler took over, it took a while before he got a good staff. I use to love going to his office when he was on Jefferson St. It always felt like family. Staff was great. I loved talking to the staff, because they always seem to remember me and my family. Always asked how we were doing. Even when the office moved to Houbolt, most of the staff was the same. I loved the nurses. Even after Dr. left the room, they would have the knowledge to answer any questions I had and would explain everything Dr. didn't explain about my eyes. I would get a print out and even my print out would have some kind of a happy picture and saying " Thank you for coming and have a great day" and also putting their name on the bottom for me to call them if I had a problem. The opticians, especially Ms. Mary Alice, were always willing to go that extra step to help you pick the right frame and lenses. NOW, I'm treated like a number not as a patient. The nurses don't explain much of anything. The staff is always pushing me off to somebody else. I had a problem with my glasses and I talked to about 5 different staff members including what they call a manager, and every single one gave me different lies. I don't have much of a prescription, according to Dr., and my glasses have always arrived within 7 days in the past. Now it took almost 2 months for them to get back. When I called, first they told me that my glasses had already been dispensed to me, I explained that they were not. The girl told me she would have an optician look into it and call me back. 3 days passed and nobody called me back so I called back. Same receptionist answered the phone and now she told me it was not there yet and that my glasses would be there in about 5 days. I waited and no phone call. I called back, I was put on hold for about 15 minutes and finally who ever answered the phone stated they were going to call the lab and see what was going on. Again, I didn't get a call back. I called 2 days later and some rude optician told me that I had to wait for somebody to call me when they were ready. I asked how long does it take for them to come in, she stated that my glasses had to be specially made because of my prescription. I waited about 2 days and called back just to hear that my glasses had not passed some kind of inspection and that they were remaking them at no additional cost, which I don't understand why I would pay more for a mistake that I didn't make. I told them to just cancel my order and to refund me my money, which was over $500, and they said NO that all purchases are final. Finally I asked to speak to a manager. I spoke to Kelly and I don't understand how she is a manager, she didn't even apologize for any inconvenience or anything. She said there was no refunds. I felt like talking to a wall. Poor service. I will be looking for another Dr. that takes my VSP insurance. But most of all, I'm going to find an office that treats me with respect. Now I understand why the staff from the previous office doesn't work there anymore. If they were treated the same way I was treated, I would of left to.
