Brush Strokes is great! I've gotten my hair cut and colored as well as an amazing makeup consultation that left me with fun new makeup that I know looks good AND I know how to apply. Being here is just like being at a girlfriend's house
Personally, I have been Mary's client for over 20+ years. My son's received their first haircuts with her scissors. They still go to Mary for a cut, and they are now 23/27 yrs. old, respectively. Conclusion: We are all still more than pleased.
Subtle suggestions at various times, particularly as I have aged, have been more than appreciated. I have never been "pressured". And, for me, it often takes awhile. Sometimes...... a long while! In the final analysis, Brush strokes was correct.
Brush Strokes is most definitely accommodating, friendly, and up to date, while still following YOUR directions. I have previously recommended Brush Strokes/Mary Taylor to others and will continue.

I got my cut and color from Jen. She's amazing and provided such an amazing experience. I went in with one idea and she gave me honest opinion about what my hair really needed. I took her advice and let her work my magic. I am SO much happier with what she did than what I had in mind. I have been bragging about her to all my friends.

I had my first time to the salon appointment with Jenn Renee this past Friday and we first discussed options and looked at various hair colors- I knew I wanted to remain a blond!! The whole time I was with these wonderful women I knew I was in good hands. Jenn Renee consulted with Mary and came up with brilliant ideas!
Under two hours later I left with all over blond color and the days following I am happier and happier!! I receive great compliments from my sister and boyfriend who always tells me the truth who LOVE my hair!!

Great cut, great color and great atmosphere. After nine years in VA, I finally have found a fantastic place to do my hair. I was beginning to doubt that VA had any good salons. Thank you Brush Strokes!!! It's so great to have guys do double takes when you are 57 years young. hahaha
