Dr. Michael Kotlicky

I am so glad that we found Dr. Kotlicky when we did. We knew there was something wrong with our daughter's school performance but couldn't put our finger on what the problem was. Her teachers weren't keyed in to any issue because she is such a pleasant and compliant child...she is one that would have fallen through the cracks except for our gut feeling that there was a problem. Dr. Kotlicky was wondrful to work with and diagnosed her quickly. We started a therapy plan and have seen great progress. The therapists are wonderful and she is doing so much better with reading and schoolwork. We are not seeing any of the frustration that was there before. Thank you!

Dr. Kotlicky is wonderful with children. He is funny and explains what he's doing when he does the assessment. He puts them at ease. He also explains everything to the parent. I was impressed!

I appreciate Dr. Kotlicky listening to my story and really getting to know my daughter before he conducted a comprehensive eye exam on her. He took time to explain to me what he was assessing and how he arrived at his diagnosis. I am so thankful to have found Dr. Kotlicky. He confirmed what my intuition was telling me. As a Mom, I had a hunch that something was not quite right. My daughter worked WAY TOO HARD to read. I'm in the field of education and her reading behaviors were not consistent with a learning disability. I am so glad that Dr. Kotlicky is able to help our little girl feel more successful as reader.

From my daughter who did vision therapy at Dr. Kotlicky's office: Dr. Kotlicky is sweet, kind, and good with younger children. I've never found him hurtful or mean. The therapists are charming, once you get used to them. Part of your therapy is playing games, which I thought was the best part.
From mom: Dr. Kotlicky is very patient with the children who come to his practice and always has a moment to say hi to them. He makes time to sit down with the parents and explain the results of your child's vision evaluation, what that means to you and your child, and makes sure you as the parent understand. When we first met Dr. Kotlicky any type of close work was torture for my daughter. It made her sick to her stomach, gave her massive headaches, and at the end she had to re-read what she had just struggled through in an effort to understand it. With a diagnosis of convergence issues and vision therapy to correct it she now is not only successful at her work but reads for pleasure! Additionally I was able to recognize issues with my son much earlier as I now know what to look for and can help him avoid some of the struggles his sister had.
