Robert Gold Salon & Spa

I have had many compliments since I had my hair done on Saturday. The cut and color are great. Please forward my comments to Edgar. The shampoo was terrific, too--kind of like a mini head massage that relaxed my shoulders, as well.

Over the years i have been to a variety of salons but at Robert Gold's I found the nicest people, my favorite colorist and the most pleasant and serene atmosphere. If you are looking for drama, you won't find it here.

I now have two favorite stylists so I can more easily get an appointment.

I just moved to Evanston and I had to find a new hairsylist. Great cut, the haircut always grows out really well. I just wish they would give a head massage when they are washing your hair. My old place did that and it was so relaxing.

Nora and the rest of the staff are amazing! I've loved everything they do and have sent many of my friends their way.

Janet is great - always gives a terrific cut and fun to talk to as well! Regina is also very nice and shampoos with a scalp and temple massage - nice. Everyone in the salon is friendly, the setting is bright,calm, comfortable and clean. Very nice atmosphere.

Janet and Melissa never disappoint. Janet has cut my hair since I moved to Chicago, and she was at a salon on Oak Street at the time. When I moved north, I started asking around about salons that were near me and Robert Gold was a salon that had been recommended. Before I could book my first appointment, I learned that Janet had moved to the salon (perfect!), and when it was time for me to start doing color, I learned that Melissa, the lead colorist, had also been at the same Oak Street salon.

The salon is a friendly, clean, modern, professional and approachable.

Melissa and Janet are beyond wonderful. Melissa has my color done perfectly! I have been to multitudes of places in the last 20 years, and no one colors my hair as well as Melissa.
Janet is also one of the few people who instinctively knows what to do with my hair. She can also straighten it properly which many people can't do.
My complaints are that they are quite pricey. A blow dry is not included after the color.
I had a Keratin treatment that was the biggest waste of time and money. They won't do the Brazilian Blowout anymore. They told me the Keratin was just as good. It sucks! It was $50.00 more and was nowhere near as good. I am pretty pissed about that.
The facials are very good. I am not impressed with the manis and pedis.

I always enjoy coming to salon for the quality of the service and also, the always very friendly staff interactions. Keep it up!!

I really like the feeling of the Salon...high quality professional but not fluffy! In a word 'genuine'. Amy and Nicole are highly skilled stylists who do an exceptional job.

I love everything about Robert Gold. But this time they went above and beyond. NORA IS THE BEST! As always I was having a great experience and a cool new cut. I thought it was great. But Nora the perfectionist she is was not so she asked Bob to help. He came over did something and then they talked about why they had to do something different on my finicky hair to make it look AWESOME! Being a teacher myself I was so happy and impressed to see them work together to make the final project an A+. THANK YOU!
