Salon Montage

I had a great day at Salon Montage. Got color, cut, pedicure, and threading. I felt so pampered! Thank you!

I'm not sure whether any of the stylists at this salon have ever received formal training, let alone Aveda quality training (except the lady who threads eyebrows - she's excellent).

Forget about a standard Aveda scalp massage with your wash, they just don't even bother with that, and be pleased if your hair doesn't come out gray (I am not kidding).

If you're the first appointment of the day, don't bother showing up on time, they won't. Someone will MAYBE be there by 10:20am. Maybe.

Now to be fair, I did give this salon a few chances thinking that my experiences might be a fluke, but they weren't. This is a bitchy, unprofessional salon with subpar services, yet they believe they can charge Aveda prices.

the experience was very pleasant and the stylists were very nice and knowledgeable. My only complaint is that the prices seem to be a little higher than I expected. Haircut and styling for my mother was $70 which is far more than she usually pays. She asked to have her hair set in rollers which gives her a nice curl atha lasts for 1 week. Instead, the stylist talked her into using a curling iron which "does the same thing". Well, it does not do the same thing at all! After paying all tha money, my mother's hair is flat with no curl and it is hard for her to manage it for the next week. Now I have to take her to Hair Cuttery to get what she wanted in the first place but at amuch lower price. Moral of the story is sometimes it is best to listen to the customer.

I will always pay a little more to receive attention to detail and loving care. Seema has had me looking beautiful for twenty years.
