I love going to Hair M. I always leave feeling like a king and knowing I look my best.
I am from out of town and have passed by Hair M every week for the last 2 months on my way to the office. I was in desperate need for a trim and needed real barber skills, as I have a Danish-inspired haircut that isn't common in the U.S. Samantha cut my hair and she did a superb job, and got it exactly right. She was also very helpful and instructive about some new products that I haven't used before.
The price is more than I would normally pay for, but service is good and drinks are complimentary. I booked a time in advance to avoid the wait.
Chris was amazing!
Thanks Bree, everything was amazing!
I have but two words to describe my experience: Audrey rocks!
She was the BEST at shaving my head and face!!! I will not go to another. Shes my fav.
Very good experience. Stylist cut just the way I had wanted and was very friendly while I was there. Will be back!
Christopher Ettrick is the best.
Great treatment, first time getting a facial. It was relaxing and fun. The end result was a younger looking face which I didn't realize was such a positive thing :)
Chris is the best, give him a raise.
Christopher was fantastic. Great cut, great personality, great advice/tips.
Chris is an amazing stylist! He is also entertaining, which is always fun. He definitely works hard to make sure you like your cut. This is going to be my second annual membership and I think I will even upgrade it when I come for my next cut. The rest of the staff is also stellar. In light of this, don't take my comments below to mean I don't like coming there.
I do have a couple of other suggestions that continue to disappoint me. First, the TVs are too high. When you are getting a cut, they need you to hold your head straight or slightly down. How are you supposed to see the TV? The counter space is hardly used for anything and there is no reason the TVs can't be brought down to slightly above counter height. And I am not sure how cost-prohibitive HD is but the picture quality is a bit early 2000s.
Second thing, the light bulbs in the washing station area need to go. They are, I believe, white florescent bulbs with harsh white lighting. That's not the right type of light color and intensity for a relaxing environment. Please replace them with warmer softer (yellowish) light that's soothing.
Some lounge/spa type of music will also go a long way.
There, you asked for my opinion and you got it! :-)
