ignition switch

The mechanic installed a new-to-me ignition switch this week. The work was done in a timely fashion. When it was finished, a very friendly mechanic walked into the waiting room to hand me the key and explain what had been done. (I also got a new rear windshield wiper)
While waiting I enjoyed my Keurig coffee and a couple of magazines. Nice touch...

The service at Schoen Place Auto could not be any better. They fully explain every repair and charge and I never worry about being 'ripped off'. I feel confident in their recommendations as to what should be done immediately and what can wait. The environment is very comfortable to wait in, or for longer repairs, there are loaners. The staff and puppy are a delight to deal with.

The service on my car was very good. Here's where I had the problem.
Had to borrow a car. Had to warm it up, scrap off the snow, and try to pull out with other cars and snow in the way. It would be a good customer experience to have the car scraped off and ready to go. Also the car was had a terrible gas smell. I let the folks know that I got sick that night.

Comments from the automotive shop
Cindi's comments about having to scrap the snow off the car is something we dropped the ball on. Normally we park loaner cars inside overnight so this situation does not happen. When Cindi returned the car with the complaint about the gas smell, it was immediately taken off the road for repairs. We found a cracked manifold which was leaking exhaust right out of the engine that created the smell. I sincerely apologize for these issues and appreciate the feedback on where we fell short.

Always a fun and highly professional time at Schoen Place Auto. Jerry is expert at the job and his customer care area has its own diversions - including Bailey, a lovable and antic puppy who cares for the customers in his own unique way. (guard your pockets and any papers you may value, as he does also !).
