I decided to give this place a try after finding it on the internet and reading the reviews. I'm originally from a big city so I'm not always open to going to places in smaller towns. I have to say - it was probably the best eye exam I have ever had. I really appreciate the amount of time Dr. Jeff spent answering all of my questions and concerns (and I had quite a few!). His explanations were thorough and extremely easy to understand. He also provided me with very good treatment options. I would recommend him to anyone.
I also give five stars to the staff - especially the girl who scheduled my appointment and checked my insurance for me to see if I had eye coverage. I had told her I was not covered but she wanted to check anyway and turns out I actually did have coverage!
I had read reviews concerning the expense of the glasses. I agree - they aren't cheap but I don't think that they really are much more expensive than going anywhere else. My boyfriend had just gotten glasses a couple months ago at LensCrafters and he paid around the same amount I did. Glasses are just an expensive item. If I'm spending the money either way, I'd rather spend my money supporting this local business who took thier time with me rather than one of the big chain stores.

Despite having located across the state, I still choose to business via mail with Saxonburg Family Eyecare because of their great service and reasonable prices. Sally Wright has helped me on numerous pairs of glasses, and her knowledge and service are some of the best I have ever come across. It may be a trip from Pittsburgh, (or Philly in my case) but these guys are worth the trip!

Very disappointed. First time contact wearer. Was given contacts three different times to trial, not one pair was the correct prescription. I did not go back for my follow up appt as was requested feeling that if I couldn't get a correct prescription it probably was not worth it. I am again pursuing contacts but with another facility.

What a great staff!!!! I don't think I have been anywhere that the staff is so kind; and they know their job. Great Doctors too! Makes you feel at home.

Great experience, nice people and I hope, great glasses. A bit expensive on my German imported titanium frames -- but I could have just ordered monocles and saved on the frames altogether.
The optometrist was very kind, addressed my concerns, and was very thorough in my eye care examination. The secretary at the desk was welcoming and helped me with my insurance and paperwork. The person who did the screenings explained all of the tests beforehand including what they were used for, what was going to happen, and what she wanted me to do.
The reason I deducted one star was because of the lady who helped with the frames. She was very impatient and unfriendly. She did know all of her insurance information well and did do a great job with the paperwork. I just didn't find her to be the best at helping someone find the right glasses for them.
Had a great interaction with all the staff.
