Process and results were very easy and satisfying
Initially told tech that Check Engine light was on but had trouble starting car and eventually car would not start. I (a woman) thought it might be the starter. However the Engine light problem had previously been diagnosed as faulty EGR valve so I shared this info. After extensive and costly diagnostics the only problem found was dead battery. Cost after this was very close to $400. Yeah people almost $400. Tech said I needed serpentine belt replaced account it was cracked. I declined because my bill was already almost $400 and any other repairs I simply could not afford and I asked about the AAA discount. After applying the AAA discount I was quoted a price of $370+ to include the belt replacement. The belt was replaced, the Check Engine light problem was never diagnosed and my final bill was $373.19. The next day the Check Engine light came on again. So I paid $373.19 for battery replacement, replace a belt and the initial Check Engine light problem was never taken care of. I WILL NEVER USE THIS SHOP AGAIN, AAA OR NO AAA APPROVED.
Most pleasant expierence in repair shop since moving here from Corpus Christi 5yrs. ago. Friendly and effective front staff. The techs explained problems and any ramifacations with pleasant attitude, especially for mechanics. The tech that did the work is the person that explained the problems and solutions. I felt like I was back in Corpus Christi with shops that I've dealt with for decades.
Staff is very pleasant. Shop and bathroom is very clean. Competent techs. Fair prices. Best repair expierence since coming to Houston 6 yrs. ago.
Was just an oil change, but I do love to support the small businesses so I will return for the scheduled maintenance. You can't be in business very long without good customer service ...

Although now that the check engine light has set a code, there is a program called Air Check Texas that helps people pay for emission repairs to their vehicle (IE: the amber check engine light on).
