Dr Manhard and his team are always the best. Incredibly straightforward with information which is so appreciated. The hygienist was personable and had a wonderfully gentle touch.
That was the best extraction I have ever had done. I was very nervous but Dr. Manhard was so incredibly patient kind and very skilled. There was no pain and he made me feel very comfortable and safe.
i appreciate dr manhard for his honesty and always trying to do quality work vs finding things to "fix". i really do appreciate that! i am happy with the work you have done for me. my only concern is with his receptionist. i called out sick from an appt last week and was scolded, basically made feel like a liar b/c i told her i was very sick and could not come in. she then proceeded to tell me that "this is a business..how do you think he is going to get paid?" and dr manhard will charge me $50 for missing this appt b/c he still needs to make money. she was so rude and cold on the phone. i told her i would never walk in this institution again if i was treated this way or charged for that matter. i was so sick and upset and to be talked to that way was out of bounds.
then, when i came in for the appt first thing out of her mouth was, "wow you are so tall...i thought i was tall!". who says that? i dont need comments about my body when i walk into the dentist. professionalism is all i ask for.
sad that your receptionists keep changing and i think it will definitely hurt your business to have people like that representing you. especially in a market like carlsbad....let me know if you need a good referral. i know a person who would be great for your office and can talk better to your customers. thanks for asking my opinion.

Dr. Manhard is an excellent dentist and a fine person. I have been a patient of his for many years. .in fact, I 'followed' him from his previous office, which was a LOT closer to my home. That is saying a lot, as I have been fearful of "the dentist" since childhood.
I highly recommend Dr. Manhard, for his skill and easy going manner.

It is not the 'quality of dentistry' I have a problem with. It is the 'honesty' of the office staff. HOW would YOU feel, after having stood there, face to face with them, where they told you; "Your insurance will pay for 100% of this procedure, you just need to pay a $50 co-pay". . . you pay the co-pay, have the procedure done and a month later you get a bill for $227 !?! . . AND they are being nasty about 'collecting' it !
Sorry, that feels like "bait & switch" to me AND. . lying, cheating and just dishonest business practices. I have got a feeling I will NOT be using these folks again for my dental needs. It is too bad, as Dr. Manhard is a nice, competent man. But, I am feeling screwed. Your mileage may vary.

Dr. Manhard is the BEST!! I have always been afraid to have Dental work since I had many horrible experiences growing up. Still at 25 yrs I get nervous but Dr. Manhard is amazing! I will not go with anyone else. Ill be moving soon but I will fly down to see him, that's how well my experiences have been in this office.
