had my Ford Escape serviced on 1/25/12. requested tune up. rec'd call from Carl informing me that car didn't need tune up but couple of small problems needed to be taken care of.any place else would have taken advantage and just done unneccessary work. this is why my family and I have been going there for over 20 yrs. great job Carl and Jason. I generally have a good experience with the polite, professional staff at McCracken. I brought a tire in to be patched, came in to pick it up, and asked if they could put it on for me. It didn't occur to me to ask if there was an extra charge for that, it seems like something a garage might do as a courtesy for a regular customer who just had a tire patched. I was surprised to get my bill and see a charge for almost 20 dollars. I didn't complain at the time because I didn't ask, but the more I think about it, the more I realize I shouldn't have to. I was hoping that I was developing a friendly relationship with an auto mechanic shop I could trust, but I felt a little taken advantage of.
My parents used to bring their cars here, and I have been doing the same for many years. They are honest, helpful and very nice people!
