You were recommended to me by someone else who thought you were great. I agree. This is the second time you worked on my car and both expriences were good. Your are the only shop I've ever used where the staff take the time to explain what is wrong with the car and what needs to be done in language that the mechanically challenged can easily undestand. You answer questions in the same manner. Your staff is not only helpful, they are also pleasant, respectful, and polite. It doesn't get any better than that.
With each interaction with the professionals at McCracken, I am more and more convinced that this is my go-to auto shop in the Boston area. Honest, professional and fair.

I generally have a good experience with the polite, professional staff at McCracken. I brought a tire in to be patched, came in to pick it up, and asked if they could put it on for me. It didn't occur to me to ask if there was an extra charge for that, it seems like something a garage might do as a courtesy for a regular customer who just had a tire patched. I was surprised to get my bill and see a charge for almost 20 dollars. I didn't complain at the time because I didn't ask, but the more I think about it, the more I realize I shouldn't have to. I was hoping that I was developing a friendly relationship with an auto mechanic shop I could trust, but I felt a little taken advantage of.
My parents used to bring their cars here, and I have been doing the same for many years. They are honest, helpful and very nice people!
