Just wanted rotors spun and was told needed pads replaced (even though minimally worn) because the pulsating would continue with the pads... What? Also suggested oil change with 2500 on this oil... vehicles can go 4000 to 5000 miles...stop looking extra revenue... Your prices are high enough as it is.

Dan, we're so sorry to hear there was a misunderstanding. To explain it again, the rotors were at a point where only spinning them would have worn them down too much, causing pulsating, which is when your brakes shake as you push down on them, and that can be dangerous. This is why we recommended replacing them. And even though your brake pads had only two years of wear, when rotors are replaced, we strongly suggest also replacing the pads, because new rotors on old pads also produce pulsating - even on pads that are only two years old. Old pads with new rotors would also cause the new rotors to warp. Regarding the oil change, we simply asked if you would like it done, because people typically get it done at 3,000 miles, and being that you were close to the point, we thought you might like to save yourself a visit and get it done then, rather than having to come in again in a few weeks. You are correct that some vehicles can go longer between oil changes - that depends on the way the person drives their vehicle and the weather conditions they drive in. We simply make the recommendation at 3,000 miles, because most vehicles we see need it at that point because of the weather extremes in Minnesota. There was and never is, any pressure to get that done. We make recommendations based on what we feel is best for you vehicle, and you are always free do what works best for you. Ignition Coil Repair/battery replacement

I brought my car in with a "chugging" problem and warning lights coming on. The staff was very polite and informative and honest. They gave me a loaner car, so the repair was not an inconvenience. Phil and Jason kept me informed of what needed to be repaired. The service was done in a timely manner and the cost was reasonable. Unfortunately when I went after hours on Saturday to pick up the car, the battery was dead and it wouldn't start. They had cleaned the contacts and when they discovered on Monday that I actually needed a new battery they credited my first bill for the contact cleaning and made adjustments to the second repair. I will definitely bring my car back to Victory. I was very happy with the service.
