Jeffrey N. Trester, D.D.S., M.A.G.D.

Dr. Trester has over 20 years experience practicing General, Cosmetic, and Implant Dentistry in Oxnard and Ventura. He received his Bachelor's degree in psychology from UCLA and Doctor of Dental Surgery from Northwestern University. He, then, served three years in the U.S. Public Health Service working with Navajo Indians in Arizona. This was followed by two years of advanced training in general and hospital dentistry at Mt. Zion Hospital and Medical Center in San Francisco. After beginning to practice in Ventura County, Dr. Trester continued his advanced studies. Through the Academy of General Dentistry, he earned awards as both a Fellow and a Master. The Master designation represents over 2000 hours of advanced training and is held by less than one percent of all dentists in the United States. He is also the only general dentist in Ventura County with two years advanced training in general dentistry at an institution approved by the American Dental Association. He continues to keep current on new technology as a member of the prestigious Pankey Institute (www.pankeydentist.org) and by attending ongoing continuing education at a variety of institutions. Dr. Trester's long established relationships with top specialists, teachers and researchers across the United States, enables him to network in treatment planning difficult or challenging cases. Dr. Trester is professionally active in the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the L.D. Pankey Study Club of Southern California. He has served in several prestigious appointed and elected positions including as a California dental professional liaison to the American Cancer Society and as President of the Southern California Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Trester also enjoys an active lifestyle outside of the office. He is an avid surfer, runner and cyclist. He enjoys creative writing and preparing and eating gourmet meals. He has two beautiful daughters of whom he is very proud.
