Originating in one of Houston's most established retail districts (West University), our market encompasses a culturally diverse niche with a focus on "women of color". It is with great anticipation, joy, reflection and a job well done that the owners of The Root of You are proud to hang our crowns at 5190 Buffalo Speedway on December 8,2012. The service and atmosphere at the Root of You Salon is excellent. The salon is well run. Toni, my stylist, is extremely friendly, funny, yet very professional. I have a very sensitive scalp, so she tailors my services to suit my needs. As a result, my hair is very healthy, and always looks great after every service. I've used other stylists at the salon and they were good as well.

Paid entirely too much for a flat iron style 70 bucks and left there looking frizzy. On top of waiting for 4+ hours just to be blown oug after sitting under the dryer for almost 2 hrs.

I enjoyed the 2 hours spent at the spa with a seaweed body mask & signature massage. Danielle was very pleasant and accommodating at the reception desk and Gabriella was very professional and patient. I left feeling very relaxed.
