My $300 car was running really bad,1/2 a day later as "Phil" on "Duck Dynasty" would say Happy, happy, happy!"
I enjoy that I can trust my car to you. Thank you.
My car was overheating and I explained it happened when there was a load (hills, hot days, etc.). I was charged a 'diagnostic fee' and they recommended to have my radiator flushed and a new thermostat. When I picked it up, I asked if they found anything unusual. "no" and I asked the technician if my notes were relayed to him. Another "no." The next day, my engine still overheated, so I returned. This time the owner was there and he said "now what are the symptoms?" I repeated what I had described earlier. "you probably need a new head gasket." So my several hundred dollar bill was a waste, since new fluids are again used when replacing a gasket. The final diagnostic was correct, but I had a different shop do the work.

I had CV axles replaced on a 1993 Honda. I did not ask up front, but was not told they were remanufactured axles until after they were installed. I called around and found I paid the same price for their remanufactured axles as I would have paid for new ones. Also, I was quoted for an alignment as additional part of the job afer the axles were replaced ($130.00 extra). They told me an alignment was required. I called around other shops afterward and found alignments were not required part of the job and they were less than $100.00 if you decided to have one done. The work done seems to be ok, but I feel I was overcharged compared to what other shops would have charged for the same work. ...and I should have been told remanufactured parts were going to be installed before I gave the ok to do the job (next time I will ask, but I think professional courtesy would dictate that disclosure up front)
